Please note Lifelines online will stop appearing on the website from August. If you are a member of New Life and are not already receiving it via email and would like to, please contact hello@newlifecroydon.co.uk to be added to our church database.
Welcome to Lifelines Online, our weekly guide to everything that’s happening at New Life in this lockdown season.
Our Journey out of Lockdown
This Sunday a small number of our church family will be coming to the centre at 10am to watch the service together on the big screen. Those who are coming to the centre have been specially invited so please don’t come to the centre unless you have received a specific invitation. As we move forward, there will be opportunities for more people to join us at the centre, so please look out for information. We are also beginning to record some elements of our Sunday services at the centre, rather than from the homes of those taking part.
For the first time this week, one of our home Connect Groups was also able to meet together at the centre. Other small groups are continuing to meet up in local parks.
We will continue to broadcast our Sunday services online for the foreseeable future. As you will appreciate there has been a tremendous amount of work involved in putting together our online services, and we want to express our sincere gratitude to our technical team (James & Emma Beatt, Neil Clay), deaf signing team (Michael Stewart and others), worship team, speakers, hosts and everyone who has helped in any way. During August, we want to give our team a bit of a break, so there will be a number of Sundays when our services will be simplified and we will also not be sending out Lifelines every week. At the same time we will be looking into investing in better equipment and strengthening our technical team, as we continue to broadcast more of our services from the centre.
We are grateful for these small steps and would continue to value your prayers on this journey out of lockdown.
This Sunday
This week in our online service we are delighted to be joined by a good friend of New Life, JC Alzamora. Originally from Venezuela and now an American citizen, JC carries a strong prophetic anointing. He’s been involved in a ministry training school, church planting and also travels widely. He has been a great blessing to New Life over many years, and we are delighted that he is able to join us this Sunday.
Immediately after the service there will be an opportunity to catch up with one another on Zoom.
Midweek Devotional
Next Wednesday, David Lilley will be sharing a word of encouragement entitled ‘Don’t be overwhelmed by a sense of personal insignificance’. You can watch this on our ‘Church Online’ webpage or on our Facebook group from 6pm on Wednesday.
Alpha Online
A reminder that our Alpha Online course starts on Tuesday 11 August.
Is there someone you could invite? Send them this video, and if they show interest, send them the link to register online.
We’re praying God will use our Alpha Online course to further his Kingdom and bring people to a knowledge of his love and calling on their lives. We encourage you church, be praying: Who could you invite?
