KIDS
SUNDAYS
We want everyone from the very youngest to the very oldest to enjoy Sunday mornings at New Life. There are children’s activities for all ages up to school year 6. On Sundays, children worship with the whole church family for the first part of the service and then go to their age-specific groups:
CRECHE
Especially for babies and toddlers up to the age of 2. You are welcome to stay with your children, or if you would like to, you can leave your child in our care, and we will be happy to look after them. There are lots of toys and songs and a simple Bible story too.
SPARKS (children aged 3-5 years, in preschool and reception).
A happy and safe place for your child to come and play, have fun and experience God’s love. Crafts, free play and Bible stories are just a few of the activities we do on Sunday mornings.
POWER HOUSE (school years 1-6)
Our desire is that our children will grow in their faith and relationship with God and to be equipped for the world they live in today. There are games and Bible-based talks and activities as well as time to build friendships and make new relationships not just with each other but also with God. There will be time to pray and laugh and have fun together.
Midweek Activities
Kids Connect
Every Friday (from 6pm-7.15pm), we meet Together at New Life, to play games, have fun and learn more about Jesus. This is for children in school years 1-6. Once every 4 weeks we will have a meal together. No need to sign up, just come along, bring your friends – everyone is welcome!
Bubble Time
A time for children and their adults to come and enjoy some time together. There’s lots of fun and laughter as well as time for a craft or a game and an exciting story from the Bible. Before we start with the activities there’s time to have breakfast together too!
Bubble Time is the first Saturday of each month 10am-11.30am at New Life.
Kids Camp
The event takes place in August and information is announced several months beforehand. This is for children in school years 3-6 and our venue is the Frylands Wood Scout Outdoor Centre. Last year we also ran a successful Day camp for those who didn’t want to sleepover and we also welcomed children in Year 2 for the day. Watch this space!
Great Big Event
Throughout the year we have several ‘Great Big’ events all children up to the age of 11 are welcome. These include: Great Big Light Party in October. Great Big Family Christmas Party in December and The Great Big Pancake Party in February.
Safeguarding Policy
We take the safeguarding of all those we have contact with very seriously. The church is fully committed to the belief that all children, young people and vulnerable adults have a fundamental right to be protected from harm and, therefore, fully recognises it’s responsibility for Safeguarding. New Life Croydon is committed to ensuring that everyone working with children or young people:
· Has been safely recruited,
· Is adequately trained and supervised,
· Understands and follows the New Life Croydon Safeguarding Policy.
As part of New Life Croydon’s commitment to children, young people and vulnerable adults it has appointed Mark Rossell as Safeguarding Co-ordinator and Louise Abrahams as Deputy Safeguarding Co-ordinator.
