Please note Lifelines online will stop appearing on the website from August. If you are a member of New Life and are not already receiving it via email and would like to, please contact hello@newlifecroydon.co.uk to be added to our church database.
Welcome to Lifelines Online, our weekly guide to everything that’s happening at New Life in this lockdown season.
As we continue our journey out of lockdown, we will keep you updated of all the relevant changes. If you are part of a Connect Group, your leaders will also let you know what is happening.
We want to express our thanks to our pre-school team of Ruth Stephens, Louise Abrahams, Pauline Hiscox and Heidi Wilson who have helped us run our pre-school back in the centre for the past month. Pre-school has now closed for the summer holiday. Please continue to pray for wisdom as we move forward.
This Sunday
Join us this Sunday at 10am on YouTube for our Sunday morning service. Chas Woods will be looking at ‘where is God in a Coronavirus world?’. Immediately after the service there will be an opportunity to catch up with one another on Zoom.
Midweek Devotional
Next Wednesday, Chas Woods will be continuing on from his Sunday talk, with a more in-depth study of how we understand God’s working during this season. You can watch this on our ‘Church Online’ webpage or on our Facebook group from 6pm on Wednesday.
Alpha Online
Our Alpha Online course starts on Tuesday 11 August.
There will be 7 sessions, each one providing an opportunity to discuss some of the big questions in life and explore the Christian faith, all from the comfort of one’s own home. For more information visit our Alpha Online page here.
Is there someone you could invite? A friend, neighbour, or family member – someone you’d love to see come to know Jesus.
Here are two easy steps to invite someone:
- Send them this link to the invitation video: https://youtu.be/jUkXtctL-ss. You could ask if they’d be up for something like this.
If they do show interest…
- Send them a link to register online newlifecroydon.co.uk/alpha. If they’d prefer and give consent, you can also register them yourself by following the link and entering their details.
We’re praying God will use our Alpha Online course to further his Kingdom and bring people to a knowledge of his love and calling on their lives.
We encourage you church, be praying: Who could you invite?
Outdoor Small Group Gatherings
We’ve produced some guidance for our group leaders on how groups of up to six people can meet together safely, outdoors. The guidelines are based upon government guidance and are designed to enable church members to gather together in the safest possible way. If you think you might attend such a gathering, we’d encourage you also to read through the guidance on our website.
Make sure you tune into our service this Sunday to see how one group was recently able to meet together safely.
Testimonies & Prayer Requests
Please continue to submit your testimonies and prayer requests, we love to hear them!
Online Activities
Our Sunday services take place on YouTube and most of our other meetings and activities take place on Zoom. If you would like to join one of these meetings, please visit the ‘church online’ page of our website where you can find details of each leader to contact.
