Welcome to Lifelines online, our weekly update on everything that’s happening at New Life during this season when we are not able to meet together.

This Sunday

Please join us at 10am for our live service online. Mark Rossell will be sharing a word of encouragement with us and there will be an update from our pastoral team.

Prayer

We want to encourage you to be praying at this time.

  • Sadly this week several members of the New Life family have lost parents to the virus. Please pray for God’s peace & comfort at this time.
  • We are aware of others from New life who have contracted the virus, or are displaying symptoms of the virus, including some who work in the health service. Please pray for a quick & full recovery.
  • Pray for all those who are older, vulnerable or self-isolating who are not able to get out.
  • Please also remember to pray for those who have been economically impacted through loss of work and earnings.
  • Finally, we are deeply appreciative of your prayers for our elders, staff team and other leaders, as they progress and develop the ministry of New Life during this challenging times.

Thursday night prayer meetings and Saturday morning prayer meetings are still happening via Zoom. For how to join the Thursday prayer meetings, please contact Kofi Sunu on 020 8680 7671 ext 339. For the Saturday morning prayer meeting, please contact Fred Asante on 07768 601244.

Pastoral Care

If you are in need of help and support at this time, or have any questions please do get in touch with us.

NHS staff & key workers

We’re sure many of you joined in the round of applause on Thursday evening for our amazing NHS workers. We especially want to honour and pray for all those at New Life who work in the NHS or are key workers in this crisis. In order to support and pray for you, we’ve set up a special NHS Keyworker WhatsApp group where you can share prayer needs and receive encouragement. If you are working in the NHS or as a key worker and would like to join this group, please email Mark.

Easter

We will be remembering and celebrating Easter next weekend.

Good Friday – please join us for a short service of reflection online at 10am.

Easter Sunday – Please join us for our special online Easter Sunday celebration. As part of the service, we will be sharing communion together, so please remember to have some bread and wine (or juice!) available to share with us.

Over the Easter period we are planning some special live online events for children and young people. We will be contacting parents this week with details of how your children and young people can be a part of these live online events.

Kids

Each Sunday we are posting a Power House Kids Activity pack, (a Family oriented pack, with Bible Story, prayer activities, and craft/game etc.) on our website, and on our New Life Family Facebook page. We are also emailing a copy to parents so do get in touch with Louise if you are not already receiving these emails.
