There’s an indoor sports hall\, water sports area and aerial assault course\, as well as mountain biking. \nWhen? \nWe’ll be leaving New Life by coach\, early afternoon on Monday 14th April and returning to New Life by late afternoon on Thursday 17th April. \nWhat? \nIt’s a time for fun and fellowship but more importantly\, Frontiers 25 is an opportunity for us to meet with our living God. Over the years\, so many people’s lives have been transformed on our weekends away and we’re expecting great things for 2025! \nWe’ll be organising an action packed programme\, although there will be lots of free time as well. There will be an opportunity to take part in various activities like kayaking\, climbing\, archery\, mountain biking and our famous ‘Talent Show’ will be back. It is a Christian weekend\, so everyone will be expected to attend our main sessions together and to follow the basic rules and guidelines for the weekend. \nWho? \nThe Weekend Away is for those in school years 7-13.  \nCost? \nWe have reduced the cost of Frontiers this year\, the early bird price is £180\, which includes all accommodation\, food\, activities and transport. It’s for Power House Kids who are currently in school years 3-6. Lots of Power House Leaders and some of our Next Generation Youth will be there as helpers. \nAssault Course\, Pioneering\, Night Walk\, Camping\, Orienteering/Geo Quest and The Great Big Water Fight are just a few of the activities on offer\, as well as the usual team games and crafts and of course some free time too! Amidst all the fun and games children learn how to put God first in their lives\, through small group quiet times\, lively praise and worship and exciting teaching slots! There is an on-site Tuck Shop for the children to buy snacks. \nThere will be a Day Camp on Tuesday 13 August open to all children in Years 2-6. \nWe want to offer Power House kids new challenges and opportunities\, memorable activities\, friendship and genuinely life-changing experiences. There’s something special about being away on holiday together. It creates a sense of community and discovery. It’s organised by the men’s ministry team at New Life\, but is open to men of any church\, or those who are not part of a church. \nThroughout the day we will be exploring how we can be stronger men of God in every area of our lives. There will be main sessions for everyone where we will unpack the theme and also breakout sessions where we will explore specific areas where we can be stronger as men including marriage\, family\, our finances\, well-being and the workplace. There will also be times to worship and pray together as well as break times where you can connect with other men. \nWe’re delighted to have two great speakers joining us for the day: \nFreddie Roberson who is the leader of Christians in Action Church in Croydon and Gerrit Bantjes from Care for the Family. \nFreddie is originally from California but came to Thornton Heath as a missionary back in 1980 shortly after marrying Wanda. He leads Christians in Action church in Addiscombe and also travels to the USA and other countries preaching and teaching. He has also established a highly successful basketball ministry. He’s married to Wanda and they have two adult married children and five grandchildren. He’s also been friends with us at New Life for many years. \nGerrit Bantjes is South African by birth. Gerrit became a fitness coach at Cardiff Rugby Club after playing first class rugby in South Africa and Wales. He served in two armies and passed the gruelling British Army Pre-Parachute Selection Course\, P-Company\, at the age of forty. Married to a Welsh girl\, he has lived in Cardiff for twenty-five years.
